Launched in 2016 with funding from The People's Health Trust, Meet 'N' Match was the idea of Stephen Haywood, who for many years found it difficult to find a positive and meaningful relationship. He found that other people with learning disabilities had similar issues and often speaks out about the issue on behalf of people with learning disabilities. The project was launched by the U Night Group and has since gone from strength to strength, providing supported dates to many couples, relationship training and launching new social activities across Lancashire. We are committed to helping people with a learning disability to form long lasting friendships and relationships.
Spring into Action now manage the project, while the U Night Group concentrate on sex and relationship training. We work in partnership with U Nigh Group to offer training and at partnership boards across Lancashire.
