Meet N Match is a project run by Spring into Action CIC. We aim to reduce social isolation and loneliness by offering opportunities for adults with a learning disability and/or autism, to meet new people in a safe way. We are committed to helping people with a learning disability to form long lasting friendships and relationships.
The project launched in 2016 as a Lancashire based project with funding from The People’s Health Trust and was the idea of Stephen Haywood, who for many years found it difficult to find a positive and meaningful relationship. He found that other people with learning disabilities and/or autism had similar issues and often speaks out about the issue of relationships and the need for more support for people who need it.
The project was initially launched by the U Night Group and has since gone from strength to strength, providing supported dates to many couples, relationship training and launching new social activities across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire & Merseyside.
